  1. A mate of mine in the UK is on the premium rate scam, i do not agree with it as he is just ripping of the public, he has 6 premium rate numbers at £1.50 per min, he does loans, he has an advert in all the phone books in the uk, he is the only loan company in those directorys with a £1.50 a min, number, he started working from home about 4 years ago, he now has 8 full time girls on the phone 12 hours a day, he is raking it in, and do these poor people who are ringing for money get loans, i think only a min percentage do as they have tried most places before and been refused, they are desparate, he makes sure he keeps each one on the phone for 30 min's, i think this sort of operation should be stopped, the worst people doing this are computer retailers and loanshark companys and scratchcards that fall out of magazines, scratch the silver panel, YOU HAVE WON AN AUDI TT, to claim this prize ring 09.............. answer some questions, a load of Bullshit.

this man has gone up from a 1 bedroom flat and a rusty old banger to a 300k house and a brand new s-type jag.

I think the ringtones etc are not so bad as you do get something for your money, they normally download them onto there phones.

All my phones at my Business and home are reported to the phone company not to receive or to send premium rate numbers.

If people who are in this game are losing money, lose some more, good enough for you :o

  2. I think a bit risky bringing a motor into Thailand, I asked about bringing my 911 turbo over, that is a 1989 model with 40,000 on the clock she is mint, they told me if the car was in my wifes name for 2 years no duties payable, i think the Thai customs make rules as they go along, as they just cannot ever give you the correct answer, my mate from Buriram brought a volvo estate over he picked up in an auction in the uk for 500 notes, they tried to charge him 500,000 baht duties on it, that was 5 years ago, so he told them to keep it, i think it is sat in some customs warehouse in Bangkok now, but i wish you all the best in getting your toyota over, keep us informed.

  3. Great Britain, as it was, 'Great', but not any more, laural & Hardy has seen to this and all the other <deleted> in the Government, when you get to Heathrow it depresses me, a right bloody shambles, last time i flew in went through fast track, British Passport, they have now put desks in there for returning brits, the que was amazing about 200 people, got to the desk and a guy in a turban asked me where i was coming from and how long have i been away, i told him, i had been to the moon and could not get a flight back for some time and it was none of his bloody business, so he typed the barcode into computer and gave me the passport back, the Mrs & the kids were waiting for me and they went through immigration.

Then no trolleys, miles to walk with two screaming kids, got to the baggage, no baggage, the belts had broken down, two hours later on the way out, lift broken, only one working, any how my mate picked me up in my Mercedes, and down the M4 we went, stopped at the services, my one little girl wanted a bottle of water, small bottle £1.95 that really pissed me off, so cannot wait to get out of this rip off country and get back to the land of smiles, it is now getting depressing :o dark mornings, raining and everybody walking around looking like they have lost a dime, once i have sold my Business i will be going for good. you may wonder who i was refering to as laural & Hardy. its not hard to work out............. :D

  4. Please remember that I want a chopper...not a stock bike, suitable for roaring around the local central Thailand environs

the welding for the frame is the most important bit...

Try this link for a list of shops selling HD's.

    http://www.geocities.com/bkkriders/shops/hd.html

If you want to stretch the neck and fit extended springers or telescopics then you'd have to buy an almost stock bike first anyway in order to customise it.

The only shop that I know of that would have experience with raking heads would be V2 Custom in Pattaya.

The best shop to actually buy a bike FOR customising would be Siam Speedway then take it to V2 in Pattaya. For parts and servicing I go to Jammer as they have ###### near everything in stock.

V2, Big Twin, V-Speed and Siam Speedway may possibly have an already customised bike for sale. Or check out the 'Ride Thailand magazine's' website(in Thai only)

    Cheers Gazza,

Been looking for a harley or a customised Yamaha drag star, cheers, that link really helped me, that is a great site of Siam Speedway, paying them a visit in November, i will take Kringle with me. he is customising a kawasaki eliminator.

  5. Me to want to bring a 20 footer to Thailand, built the pad 5 years ago, so now want to bring some furniture to Thailand, no electric goods as i know you are taxed on them, got most in the house already, I mostly have chinese furniture, a big leather corner sofa, a couple of chesterfeilds, and also some very nice thai furniture which i bought at the rosewood room in Pattaya a few years ago, not knowing i would be getting hitched and building in thailand, so hopefully the thai furniture is coming home, also got a lot of oils, anybody know about the tax on these items, they are all over 10 years old but like new. and i will put them in my wifes name.

  6. I think the same as Stoneman, just bought another 32 Rai in Buriram, i have mostly rice land, it is all bordering on to a road and not altogeather, so in the future maybe i will build some houses and sell a few plots, as there are more ferangs coming this way looking for land, bought for investment, we now have over 100 Rai, and i do get a return on rice, it cost me nothing as my family farm it and we are on 60-40 40% for me, had a good amount last year, kept the rice untill the price rose and then sold, this year i think we will do a lot better as more land and a better harvest, also we have dug big lakes so have plenty of water and fish, and it is great to have a day fishing with a few beers with your mates.

  7. A Guy went into his local Sex Shop, he asked the sales assistant ' Have you got any blow up dolls', Yes, said the assistant, we have a good range, We have German, English, Church of England, Welsh, French, Catholic, Miss America, and Also Muslim, He then asks the assistant what is the difference.

The assistant replies, the Muslim blows herself up. :o .... :D

  8. Only trouble with my Isuzu Highlander, is that anoying strip of film on the top of windscreen, us ferangs are a bit taller than Thais, took it back to the dealers and they took it off for me, and underneath, the top of the screen is tinted bluey-green anyhow, now I can see again, especially at night. :o

I was at lights in Buriram when a couple of crackers stopped next to the passangers door, they were on there motorcycle, Damm tinted windows could not get a good look, anyhow they started to wave and smile, so I gave them a big grin and blew them a kiss, next thing slap on my head from the wife in the back seat, they were waving at my two year old, who was in the passanger seat. :D

  9. Just bought a new Isuzu Highlander 4 cab in Buriran, cost me 720,000 Baht and an extra 60,000 for all extras bull bars, alpha truck top with air, I thought a bargain, as in the UK this truck would cost you £23,000, I spoke to my mate in Pattaya, and he told me this truck down there would be a million Baht, do they stick the price up for ferangs ? and the same for a hi-lux toyota, check it out.

  10. Robin Hood, Frier Tuck and there merry men, That is why us brits do not want to return to the UK, a decent working person gets screwed by the corrupt government of high taxes, fuel prices and paying for people that have never worked in there life, who will have everything for nothing, they will be looked after untill they die with all these assylum seekers that no other country wants, they are just draining the resources, the UK is billions in the red because of this, hence, decent hard working people are moving abroad and you get all the s... moving in, when you try to get a Thai lady into the UK, almost impossible all the redtape you have to go through, then if you have a thai wife she can claim nothing, it stinks, you may wonder who is Robin Hood, Frier Tuck and there merry men..........Tony bullshit Blair, John Fatty Prescott and the rest of the idiots, oh i forgot one, Gordon shithouse Brown. :o

I am still in the UK, but not for much longer, selling my Business and moving to the land of smiles, with my thai wife and the two kids.

  11. Got a ferang next door but one from me, Belgium guy, right pratt, tried to do the dirty on a couple of mates in the area, he is a bit better now after me giving him a slap. most ferangs in the area good guys, but there is always one.

  12. In the provinces i will nod or try to make conversation with ferangs, and usally find them ok, in Bangkok bit of a different story, you try to pass the time of day with them and they look at you if you are weird, maybe some of them work in the BRITISH EMBASSY as they are all weirdos in there, typical public servants, paid by the taxpayer,

Met some good guys in Bangkok, and good mates.
