  1. Before i had children i used to think occasionally about the fact everthing is in the wife's name but that all changed with children as it will be theirs one day even if the relationship goes belly up.

Well said aletta, me the same, got a number of propertys and land, if things ever go belly up, the kids will benifit, i am just doing things as an investment for the future.

  2. Land in Issarn, 5000 baht for One Rai, if i could find it at this price, i would be buying it, to add to my existing land in Issarn, ask thaskin to sell the land he is developing, the old lakes, Buriram - Prackonchai, now he's resigned he made need the cash, ha,ha, theres about 3000 rai there.

I am in the middle of buying 100 Rai down by Hua Hin, that is costing my wife and I, 2 Million Baht, it works out about £280.00 per Rai, 20,000 baht one Rai.

If you can find at 5000 Baht, good luck and tell me.

  3. In the UK, i have a german shepard, have had three shepards, at the moment we have a pure white one, he is getting on in age now, he has the old problem his back legs are starting to go, he is coming up to 12.

  4. I have got 2 Issan dogs, well looked after, both got leather collers on in case the dog man appears, i found one ran over one night in a ###### of a mess, he was at the vets a week, the other one came to my house at 5am, scratching at the door, it was about 2 months old, again in a ###### of a mess, this dog comes to town with me on my chopper, i put a pair of sunglasses on him and he sits on the tank, a character, saying european dogs suffer from the heat is just not true, if they have been brought from western climates to Thailand i can see your point of View, but when you buy a European breed that has been bred in Thailand it grows up climatised, it's like yourself, where were you born, can you stick the heat the same as a thai ?, think about it.

  5. I buy 5, 50gram packs of Golden Virginia, cost me 700 baht, not sure the name of the shop, it is situated just past the garage on the corner of Nana, bangkok, from the garage on the corner walk up the street towards Marriot Hotel, there is a shop along there, selling newspapers, cigs, cameras films postcards, in there, Golden Virginia 700 baht, i always buy some there for a mate in the uk.

Also they sell all sorts of cigs, cigars, king edwards, (not the spuds).

  7. I wonder if some of you guys can help us, i am looking for a couple of British Bulldog pups of good stock male & female, also is it right there is a night market in Korat that sells pup's and other animals, i hail out in Buriram and the uk, so korat is a couple of hours down the road, i did see an old bulldog tied up in Buriram by the station, looks a bit sad, but unfortunatly not for sale, my kids would rather have a couple of pups. thanks.

  8. At the moment, i have a 1989 PORSCHE 911 TURBO mint condition, DAX COBRA with a blueprinted 5.7 CHEVY ENGINE WITH HURST RACING GEARBOX AND 4 BARREL HOLLEYS, ###### of a quick car (replica of the famous AC 427 cobra), and a MERCEDES C180 SPORT AMG, and only get them out in the summer, they will be taxed next week, use my van every day, in Thailand got a new D/MAX HIGHLANDER CAB 4, i would love to take my three cars to Thailand, what would the duty be, crazy.

  9. I think this is a good rule, as my wife has had 2 miscarriages from flying long haul, these were with thai, bangkok to london, the first flight had to divert to moscow, and we were stuck there for a few days, in the middle of feb, my travel insurance paid for the hospital etc, also the 2nd time she had a miscarriage on the way to Thailand, i told her not to fly and so did the Dr, but she would insist, the 3rd time she was pregnant she was supposed to fly to Bangkok in july 2002, i cancelled it, now we have two daughters with the youngest three year of age.

  10. I sent a small parcel from the UK to Thailand, 2nd week in January, it got to Buriram, last Thursday, i sent registered air mail, i tracked it down last month by the tracking number, had a reply saying not yet passed on to the overseas department, i rang royal mail to complain and it arrived in Thailand last thursday, useless british post.

If i had known it would of been so long i could of brought it with me. so sometimes you cannot blame Thailand.

  11. If you call another Skype user the phone calls are free, better still, i phone up Kringle, and that is anywhere in the world, now i tell all my mates who have a PC to join Skype.

  13.
