  1. Seh Daeng = fall guy. Now, I think I know who had Seh Daeng shot dead.

yes I do too.. Was it Gen. P

Maybe it was Gen. C. who didn't like to be upstaged by this renegade general.

Maybe it is Khun. T, maybe Khun B, maybe it is Khun S, maybe ...,

I don't thing I want to tell you what is on my mind, as it is not proven at this stage.

  2. The six amendments were proposed by the reconciliation panel

*sigh*.... and the six amendment proposals ARE????

There have been many different and varied changes suggested over the past 2 years. It would be extremely enlightening if the write up told us specifically which 6 are now on the table.

    Amendment?

    Not over PAD dead body.

I will protest violently with them, including seizure of ALL airports again is it is absolutely necessary.

The amanedment was just a front to allow all those banned to return from the grave. Call it the raise of the Zombies.

  3. 91 death is a sacrify for a noble cause.

Else a lot more people could be killed, if the Red were allowed to continue.

I cannot fortell the future, but I can just imagine some of thousand of possible out come if the redare not controlled/put down.

At best, it would turn into a mini China Mao communist state, which after a period of hardship and culture revolution (caterpillar before the butterfly), prepared itself to become the world's second biggest economy.

At worst, it can become another Khmer rough like regime, where millions more can be killed.

  4. "Satit Pitutecha, a Rayong MP and Democrat executive, said efforts to discredit the courts would continue even if the Democrat Party is dissolved but Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva does not face a political ban".

Do i smell something fishy here? why wouldn't Mr prime minister be banned from politics like others, if his party is dissolved?

Because Mark is clean. Like Teflon, nothing will stick.

Question: If Teflon is so non-stick, how could i be stick on the pan in the first place?

  5. It is only alleged as inappropriate because the content of the meeting

was steered that way by the person or persons who set up the meeting

    and clandestinely recorded it.

Is it unusual for Defense councils to meet with court secretaries?

    Not really, since that is considered a normal function of the secretaries;

to communicate face to face with BOTH sides of a court trial's participants.

Were there other meetings, of course there were, it is part of the secretaries job description. To use such meetings to set up or encourage participants to say

incriminating things and create illegal videos of them is NOT. And then of course disappear from the scene.

Regardless of Wirat's intentions he was sandbagged, and set up by the court secretary.

For which said secretary has been fired. And it's hard to imagine this hasn't been

communicated to absconding secretary by someone on his shopping trip to Hong Kong.

It would be absurd to think he doesn't know about this. Yet he is not contacting anyone, including his now ex-bosses and saying anything.

It all stinks like rotten sulfur.

It all stinks like rotten sulfur?

No. Mark & Dems do not stick, and still smell like fresh roses. The hero that can do no wrong.

Thaksin & his gang are the only one that stinks like rotten sulfur.

  6. It's just an example of red democracy. "We are allowed to gather and air our views, but no one else is".

    ...

But this thread isn't about the red shirts...

i see you finally got it.

Well done, SergiY. You have some great posts here with some really good comments. I hope you continue the trend! :)

From your link, there are a few paragraphs that explain this protest...and why the locals are fighting back. I think someone earlier called these PAD protesters "ultra nationalists". Seems he was about right on. PAD is protesting Cambodia inhabiting land that is on the border but in dispute, and near this particular temple. The locals don't want outsiders to cause problems. This only has overtures of red vs. yellow because PAD is involved. But the locals just want to be left alone to get things sorted out. I'm sure many of the PAD members were from Bangkok...and like the red's who drove to Chiang Mai...probably drove there in their BMW or Benz.

Here's the interesting part of your article, SergiY:

    --------------------------------------------------------

Residents opposed the PAD protest, fearing it would aggravate the border situation and harm their livelihood.

"They [PAD protesters] are here for just a couple of days. But we and the Cambodian people are here for life so we do not want any complications.

"The temple dispute has been going for years. Why protest now?" said Boonreum Khobutr, a village head.

    --------------------------------------------------------

As you probably know, the people in Surin speak Khmer. And associate with that region closely. Just like the Issan people associate with Laos. And the southern people associate with Malaysia. I bet some of these villagers have relatives on the other side of the border????

    Well done, SergiY!!!!!

For more info on this, here is an interesting link. It shows the map of the Kingdom of Siam in 1809, which includes a good part of Burma, China, Vietnam, and Malaysia....and all of Laos and Cambodia. Then it shows the map of Siam in 1909 after it lost a good part of the kingdom to the French and British. Of course a good part of Thailand was part of the Khmer empire back in the 12th century.

    http://www.thailands.../index.cfm?p=91

    Thanks for your reference.

It is about time that Thailand stand up and claim back what is ours. Our former glory of the Kingdom of Siam in 1809, which includes a good part of Burma, China, Vietnam, and Malaysia....and all of Laos and Cambodia.

  7. In Thailand, there are only 2 type of people.

Bankokian (Kon Khrung Thep) and Rural People (Kon Ban Nork).

So which are you; or let me re-phase, which one will be like to be?

This user Chantorn, I don't know whether it is a thai male, female, or ladyboy, but always posts on threads trying to show how much wit he / she has, only to prove they have none.

For your info, most people in ThaiVisa say I must be a Farang.

  8. What does this have to do with Red Shirts, ...

Thats a good question. Nobody has answered that so far, they just keep talking nonsense and get angry at you when you tell them it has nothing to do with their beloved red shirts. The reds cannot claim fame for everything.

Not sure what this has to do with the red-shirts. Here the yellow shirts were being restrained from a peaceful gathering at one of Thailand's beautiful temple complexes. Don't understand why the normally peaceful villagers of Surin would do that. Now people from KhonKaen or RoiEtt have a bit of a history in obstructing people with different ideas, but Surin ? Surely this must have been a misunderstanding which could have been prevented if only people set down and talked about it peacefully.

There is also a bit of a history of PAD visits to that area and the PAD itself has also its little history.

Yes, but till now no confrontation with local villagers. Thai military preventing a too close look at the border, did happen peacefully. So why are the villagers upset enough now to confront them ?

The 'bit of a history' was purely related to the 'Thaksin proxy' governments, nothing to do at all with this case.

Since the Yellow & Army is on the same side, any one confronting the Yellow shirt MUST be a Red shirt.

  9. AmazingThailand once again -- or perhaps it should be amazing Bangkok -- the headline says it all " All eyes in Bangkok are now on the Chao Phraya River -- the plight of the rest of the country is long forgotten -- it matters little to the government that people in many other parts of Thailand are still stranded without food or shelter, and some dying -- the only focus now of the government is to protect Bangkok .

Where is the mobilization of aid and relief promised several days ago to the many other provinces which have severe ongoing problems ? There is no problem yet in Bangkok, and there yet may be no major problem in Bangkok. ... but Bangkok now gets all the attention and relief work.

Do you understand why so many do not trust the elite of Bangkok ?

In Thailand, there are only 2 type of people.

Bankokian (Kon Khrung Thep) and Rural People (Kon Ban Nork).

So which are you; or let me re-phase, which one will be like to be?

  10. "For example, a thief breaks into the house next door. As a neighbour we record the clip as evidence to the police for use in arresting the suspect. Liken this to the court clips, a case in which police should arrest the thief not the people who recorded the burglary," he said.

I'm afraid this analogy breaks down when you are the one who sent an invitation to the thief.

Just hang the whistle blower. This is Thailand.

  11. Surely the bottom line is that as long as free speech, open discussion and effective news reporting is blocked, banned and persecuted in the courts, we will never know the real truth. So all people can do is speculate and in the process display their personal prejudices.

Do you mean the free speech and open discussion that we are having here? Not blocked or banned.

Self censorship was, is & will always be in Thailand. Else, CRES & DSI will do it for you.

  12. While the democrats keep crying 'set up' The question we should be asking is why did the democrats went into lobbying at the first place rather than asking why the clips are made public, who made the clip and who licked them...We want every bad government to be exposed or do we want them to be hidden while we keep calling them saints?jap.gif

But DID they go in lobbying in the first place, or were they invited to a meeting where leading questions were going to be asked by the person setting up and taping the meeting?

The MP already own up that that was NOT the only meeting. Maybe he is fear that if he lie (the only meeting), other clip of earlier meeting will surface immediately.

I agree that it was a set up. But to fall for the same set up MULIPLE times; plus not tell the Boss Mark that such lobbying is on going? Very unlikely.

  13. locals want their peace not disturbed by agitation and political missioners

Red cheerleaders will say anything, anything to support their side. Some learn well from their master Thaksin.

Are you a little yellow brain?

This issue have nothing to do with RED vs. YELLOW. These villager live there in peace with their Cambodian neighbors, they don't need some lunatic nationalists from outside creating trouble.

"..............they don't need some lunatic nationalists from outside creating trouble."

Please remember this sentiment in your future posts.

If Thailand were to invade Cambodia (or the other way round), there will be no such border problem left.

Sooner or later the war will ignite (so is World War 3); so why wait.

Get the job done and finish with in.

  14. the 22nd April incident mentioned in the gargantuan attempt at whitewash above, your perspective is not quite right, it was said that the grenades were fired from lumphini park but the resultant investigation by forensics proves they were fired from chulalongkorn Hospital, which then resulted in the reds entering the hospital as they were sure government forces were stationed there, it would appear that these grenades were fired by the security forces as at this point the reds had not entered the hospital as confirmed by the hospital themselves.

Dr. Porntip (Director of the Central Institute of Forensic Science) stated that one of the grenades might have come from Chula hospital...

One grenade fired from an M79 launcher, which fell on the roof of the Sala Daeng skytrain station, was believed to have come from a spot near the King Rama VI monument, which was close to the rally venue of the United Front for Democracy against Dictatorship.

Khunying Porntip said a second grenade that landed near a Bank of Ayudhya branch, might have been fired from the 7th or 8th floor of the hospital's Phor Por Ror building.

Khunying Porntip, who inspected both floors, said traces of nitrate were found but she had not been able to identify whether this was explosives or fertiliser. Her team also found traces of gunpowder in a woman's lavatory on the 8th floor.

To which Dr. Adisorn, hospital director, said:

The hospital usually uses the 7th and 8th floors for outpatients. Nobody stays there overnight. Their balconies were also too narrow for use to fire grenades, he said.

"The hospital is ready for inspection," he said. "But I personally believe it [Dr. Porntip's assumption] is impossible."

To which we saw some backtracking:

"I only said there's a possibility the grenades were fired from a certain floor of the building or nearby high-rise buildings," Khunying Porntip said. "Dr Adisorn should not jump to conclusions if he didn't listen directly to the speaker."

DSI chief Tharit Pengdit said Khunying Porntip was only offering a "technical opinion". The DSI had still not come to a conclusion on the case and it needed to check all the evidence, he said.
