If you can't find in stock, you could try ordering through KSK Central sports dept. I got a rugby ball that way. They had it sent up from Bangkok.

Rain
in Chiang Mai
That would not solve the problem. Much of the smoke comes from Laos and Burma.I wish all Thai farmers would get a tractor (and free fuel) so they can plow their fields under.
Go on, blame the smoke on the neighbours. You got an application in for permanent residency? Once Thailand sorts its own backyard out, then they can blame neighbouring countries.

Rain
in Chiang Mai
Had torrential rain on 118 north of Wiang Pa Pao coming back from Mae Sai today. Could hardly see the car in front. Cleared up after less than a km.
Loads of dead corn stalks everywhere up that way. Guess what will happen to them....

Hopefully, they'll set up a joint venture with Chang, & brew some decent beer
You expect a decent beer to come out of the Chang empire?!
Have you tried Federbrau? Probably the best local beer brewed in Thailand IMHO, your tastes may vary. Chang Export is reasonable, as is Chang Draught. A lot better than the "foreign" cr@p beers marketed worldwide brewed in Thailand. Chang Classic is best avoided IMHO. I would expect a Belgium / Chang joint operation, with the Belgians providing the know how & QC, to to be pretty good.

Ok/. thanks interesting answers so far/.
Let's take another situation!
I am the one making the U-Turn (waiting) and slowly creeping out into the oncoming traffic - then a driver flashes his lights at me?
I keep pulling out and he hits me/ who is at fault? him/me (because he warned me not to pull out) by flashing his lights at me?
there are endless situations like this/.
Think it's time to upgrade car for a Tank! maybe!
thanks in advance
cheers
Of course you're at fault, you're pulling into oncoming traffic, so have to wait for the road to be clear. Whether or not he flashes his lights is immaterial.
If you've got the balls to pull out into oncoming traffic, go ahead, but be prepared to face up to the consequences if it all goes pear shaped
...or you may end up dead
As I said, "be prepared to face up to the consequences"

Regarding the size required:
225/65R17
Anything bigger than 16 inches will cost here, just about anywhere. Stock "Michelin Latitude" costs about $180 USD in the USA.
The only reason why I would keep using Michelin is because they "say" their tires can last up to 10 years, providing you check them regularly after the 5th year. I read this from their website, (http://www.michelin....change-my-tyres), "How old is too old..." section.
But, because of costs, I'm seriously considering Maxxis.
That's utter rubbish, this Michelin marketing.
I have Michelins and they're done after five years. And I'm a very moderate driver who never speeds.
My last set of Michelin Latitude Cross lasted 6 yrs & 8 yrs. I changed 2 out after 6 years, because of a split on one tyre - slow puncture on a downhill trip. The other 2 changed after 8 years - loads of tread, but too old - gone hard, lost the grip in the wet. check your tyre pressures. Most service centres put far too much air in, leading to excessive wear.

Rain

I would love that people stopped posting on this thread for a little while.

Rain
in Chiang Mai
I would love a large shower of rain everyday of the year. Preferably around 5pm, but I'm willing to negotiate
Preferably accompanied by very strong wind, so as to ground the a$$holes & their paramotors

Maybe the OP should post what size of tyres he requires. I've got no idea what a CR-V wears. And then folk replying with xxxx baht for their tyres could post what size & style (road tyres, offroad tyres) they are referring to.

Anyone got any experience with Deestone (locally made)?
Have them on my lawn mower. Can't really say more, very low mileage so far

Never had a problem with Michelin tyres made in Thailand. Only had to change them because of old age.

The "flashing light" thing is usually a bluff.
Do think for a second Iam bluffing. I will run into you.
And there was me thinking folk were flashing to let me out

Index Living Mall might have them. If not, try Makro further down the superhighway, or Yok across the road.

...in good company...
Couldn't you get them to move. They're blocking the view

no Theakston Old Peculier @ 2 for 1?
5 quid for 4 bottles last year in Tesco UK, along with other selected fine ales.
One can only dream
No but they have Hobgoblin for 165 baht per bottle if that's any consolation.
Lovely stuff, that was part of the offer at Tesco UK
Now, to win the lottery

Thanks guys... It suddenly started working through bluetooth, which is great! The 2011 Honda Accord had terrible iPod integration... This Ford is head and shoulders above with the standard stereo/bluetooth.
Now can anyone recommend a good place to get either a reversing camera or at least some reversing sensors fitted in Chiang Mai?
Ford CM will fit reversing sensors, but they just get a subcontractor to come to do the job.

This is all very fine, besides the high cost of building and running a H/S one hopes that they the Transport Ministry , know that a proper high speed line requires a half kilometer easement on both sides of the per way, this is because of the high screaming pitch of the electric drive motors, this will stampede cattle and one hopes a few Thai politicians.
Since when has noise pollution been an issue in Thailand

What Is The Proper U-Turn Etiquette
in Thailand Motor Discussion

I call my style of driving "offensive defensive". It means being totally alert to what's going on around me, but when some idiot makes a move that's wrong & puts me at risk, I make a move that looks like I'm going to take him out. But of course I don't. I find driving slowly & timidly makes me feel more prone to a prang, because I "switch off". So I don't, & I haven't. Touch wood. I flash my lights & toot my horn frequently, but not at flash cars with blacked out windows
