Maybe an "elegant bronzeback"? They're skinnier, making the head look wider than the body.

my 8 yr old son loves to cycle. He can read maps, so take him along. I'll pick him up in Europe, save on an airfare
More seriously, good luck & hope you do it

Not sure what the OP's point is. There is no practical public transport serving Chiang Mai, unless you live in the centre of town or a couple of minutes walk from the arterial roads leading out of the city. And even then the only available transport is a songteaw, sitting in the back of a covered pickup, breathing in the diesel fumes sucked into the passenger area Happy to hang on to my 2 pickup trucks

As long as most of them hang around Nimmenhimanenam Rd & Airport Plaza, no worries - for me

I love the way Thais rave about their beloved Jasmine rice, yet, whenever we eat out, the rice is bland white rice, same as most of the population eats. Never eat it at home, much prefer the brown rice or that grown in the hills.

Although traffic fumes (as some put it) might be a factor for discomfort, it seems the burning season has started rather early this year.
See the pinned topic by Tywais on this forum for more details on this:
Burning season started at the usual time. After the rice harvest in early December. Not sure why folk seem to think it normally starts later.

Well, the merchants spoke, and their servants quailed.

Several turf farms here. 18.755354,99.153253
You can either just buy from them, have them deliver or lay it for you.

How far is "too far" for electric? Where I live, farmers run wires several hundred metres from their house to the pump in the fields.

The grass, both types, are grown locally. Prefer the malay grass myself. 1 rai will need a lot of maintenance, especially if in a rural location - wind blown weed seeds

Well good to their word my WT showed up at the dealer yesterday, unfortunately I won't get home for another 10 days so it will have to sit there until then.

Well my wife phoned Ford Chumphon (we are in Europe) this morning about our WT 3.2 thats been on order since August. We have been promised delivery for the end of Feb.but he was very vague this morning saying lots of WT going to Surat Thani and Phuket so we should be ok Thai logic me thinks. He has told us to phone Monday and he will contact Ford HQ to confirm Delv.date. So fingers crossed as we will be on holiday the end of March and it would be nice to have the new truck

Are they going to bust all the international musicains over work permits and extort money from them to get out of jail, now that is a real Thai experience most musos wouldn't want to miss. Could lead to a great blues balad.
Not much chance of that as the organisers have the full support of the authorities, including TAT, City Hall, Governor's Office and the tourist police. They also link up with a host of influential sponsors.
They expect something like 15,000 people to attend over the three days, plus a lot of media attention. This is the fifth consecutive year, which makes it a major annual event, and a nice boost for tourism & trade.
I reckon it must therefore get a lot of nodding heads from the powers that be.
15,000 people? I was there last year and from early evening to closing I don't think there were more than 400-500 people.
TAT always seem to throw in the extra zero when announcing figures

Arrived at airport at 08.05 am, took less than 5 minutes to park. Left 10.45 am, took less than 5 minutes to get out. A fun morning, though a bit crowded when we left. All the kids get name tags with mobile number for parent, in case they get separated, which happens a lot I would imagine. A Thai Air 747 landed & taxied past the crowd

The easiest way to measure the height of the tree or anything else for that matter is simple, you need a stick, hold your arm straight out in front of you with the fings extended now measure the distance from your eye to the end of your fingers that is the length of your stick, now hold the stick apprx in the middle at arms length and walk backwards until the top and bottom of the tree are level with the top and bottom of your stick so measure the distance back to the base of the tree, the measurement is very accurate.
There is another method using a shorter stick but you need a helper but still very simple.
Or, make a home made clinometer, sort of like a protractor with a movable pointer. Measure the angle to the top of the tree. Measure the distance across the river to the tree on google earth. Then use a bit of trigonometry to work out the height.

Sort of on topic ...
Are there any major rail construction or repair projects under way in CM province? Whilst heading back home from Phitsanulok I passed at least a dozen semi's carrying long-loads of railway track.
Not wasting time, are they
