I don't know if it's true, but I once heard the diesel here is "dirty", hence the smoke. My first truck used to blow black smoke when climbing steep hills, even when brand new. And it wasn't the only one, I discovered when talking with other owners.

The "big plastic" shops. There's one on the left just before Makro, Superhighway frontage road. They usually sell these, plastic boats, barrels.

Planning on getting there for 8.00 am. Treat it like just another school day.

Perhaps they should allow Swensen's or Dairy Queen to open a branch instead of the coffee shop outside. Might make the whole immigration experience more enjoyable

There's more to the Wing 41 day than military. There are fire engines
Big ones
Just what all kids love to see. And maybe a 747 will taxi by
Go early to try & avoid the traffic.
Might even take the kids this year

Before we got a rubbish collection service, we used to recycle almost everything. What was left would only fill a supermarket plastic bag once a week. That's for a family of 4.

The OP does have a point in that most pickup passenger seats lack the range of adjustment of the driver seat. I am 6'4" and never felt uncomfortable in a Vigo once the seat is adjusted but there's bugger all room for the rear-seat passengers. However, there's no seat height adjustment in most bog-standard pickup passenger seats and I do feel too high up when I am sitting on the left side.
Even in your Ranger?

No need to worry. In 3 years time, there'll be a round the clock highspeed rail service between the 2 cities.
-
OP, whilst I don't disbelieve you, I think in order for your statement to have credibility you should give a little more information. I do know some people who are very happy with their services.
Sellers?

They are indeed, in the UK anyway, I was one. But not in Thailand. A lot of them are drugged up to stay awake, another thing, look at the inside lane on many Thai highways, some of them are in a dreadful state because of overladen trucks, what is professional about these "drivers"? No, if you are looking at professional truckers, don't look in Thailand.I actually saw an articulated truck driver use his indicators today, I was riding behind on my motorbike when I made this very unusual sighting. Is it possible it wasn't a Thai who was driving this truck?
The articulated truck drivers are usually the most professional drivers on the road in my opinion. I assume you mean the petrol tanker, container truck drivers. Trucks pulling trailers are a different story.
I was talking about the articulated truck drivers. They seem to me to be a lot more professional than the other idiots driving the overladen, speeding, manic trucks you see everywhere here.. Seen a few idiots driving trucks in UK. Obviously you wouldn't have

Hope this idea gets knocked on the head pdq. How are my boys expected to show they go to a private school if all the little plebs can have long hair too?
The chauffeured Benz will probably be a clue.
You don't have to be that rich to send your kids to a private school

Of course complaining about it on here does absolutely nothing.
I don't think anyone's really complaining here, this is an annual thread, the nature of which has changed somewhat over the past eight to ten years but it's primary goal every year is to raise awareness of the issues, in that respect it has been hugely useful and educational.
And, hopefully, anyone of sound mind will realise this is not the place to relocate to. Unless, of course, they're interested in buying my house, sorry, my wife's house

Yes
Almost everywhere
Almost everything
Why?
Better than landfill, & someone makes money out of it. Good for them

I stick with my estimate. The wall at the side is the same height as the door to the right of centre.

Do you know about sakura - is it blossom already? My friend said, in Mae Salong not yet, afraid we'll come to Doi Pui and see nothing.
Last year it was in bloom at this time. Not been up this year.

If you're going to all the trouble of installing a really secure one, why not just get a locksmith to put a new lock on? I realise you're only going to be there a short time, but if you have things of value and you're worried, it will be worth the money.
Or buy a screw driver & a new lock & DIY.

Got a close up of the tree?
Assuming the wall near the tree is 2m high, & the tree is next to the wall, I would estimate about 26m high.

You can drive up in a car. Keep going past the temple, past the palace. Turn up to the right at the t junction where left is down to the tourist trap hmong village. The road reaches a barrier blocking access to the road up to the peak of Doi Pui. Head down to the right, through the visitors centre, down to the coffee shop & ornamental gardens where the sakura trees are. The road is narrow. Best to avoid weekends when half of Chiang Mai is up there & passing on coming trucks can get tricky.

Was out cycling east of San Kamphaeng, Chiang Mai, yesterday. Saw a pied harrier. Mainly white, with black head, & wing tips.

7000+5500+6000/night. 1900 at the local Immi.
It's their "honeymoon"
Thanks for the post Jeffrey. The downside is that you need to spend 3 nights you in KL. Unless, of course you are having a holiday. I prefer to take my holiday in UK, visit family & pick up a new visa.
Terrible Auto Exhaust...
