A 37-year-old Chinese man was seriously injured after his pickup truck struck a roadside barrier and overturned on wet roads in Bang Lamung, Chon Buri, on 1 October.
The Mazda BT-50 came to rest upside down on Highway 331 in Khao Mai Kaew. The driver, identified as Mr Liang, was trapped inside the wreckage when rescuers arrived at about 2.30pm.
Driver freed from overturned pickup
Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Pattaya rescue workers were alerted to the crash by their radio centre and sent a team to the scene.

They found the silver Bangkok-registered Mazda BT-50 severely damaged after overturning. Mr Liang had suffered a serious head wound, an injury to his right arm and abrasions to his body.
Rescuers freed him from the vehicle, provided initial first aid and took him to hospital.
Witnesses told officials that the pickup had been travelling along the route during rainfall, which had left the road surface wet and slippery. They said the driver lost control of vehicle, hit the roadside barrier and rolled over it, before landing on the vehicle’s roof.
Police examine cause of crash
Police Captain Ruangsak Siribut, deputy investigation inspector at Huay Yai Police Station, attended with officers to document the scene and gather evidence.

A recovery truck was called to remove the damaged pickup. Police will also check CCTV footage as part of their investigation into the exact cause of the accident.
For foreign residents and visitors driving in Thailand, the crash is a reminder that heavy rain can quickly make roads hazardous, particularly on main routes outside built-up areas. Drivers should allow extra braking distance and take particular care on wet surfaces, where loss of control can happen suddenly.
Route 331 is a major road through Chon Buri province and is used by motorists travelling between the Eastern Seaboard and other parts of the country.
