Five venues, four dates for Phuket resort's festive dining lineup

For many travellers, Phuket in late December means warm seas, long evenings and a holiday that feels nothing like winter back home. This year, Courtyard by Marriott Phuket, Patong Beach Resort has put together a full run of festive dining across Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Eve.

The dinners span five venues at the resort: Smokestack BBQ & Grill, The Phuket Eatery, Endless Summer Beach Club, The Pool Deck and The Summer Social. Whether you're staying at the resort or just looking for somewhere to spend Christmas or New Year's Eve in Patong, there's enough variety here to celebrate each night differently without leaving the property.

Christmas Eve buffets

The season opens on 24 December with two buffets. At Smokestack BBQ & Grill, the Festive Flavors of Christmas Buffet (2,650++ baht per person, 6pm to 10pm) brings together premium grilled dishes, roasted meats, fresh seafood and festive desserts, with live entertainment running through the evening.

At The Phuket Eatery, The Merry Christmas Market Buffet (1,350++ baht per person, also 6pm to 10pm) takes a more relaxed approach, serving holiday classics and international favourites from live cooking stations; it's the better fit for a family Christmas Eve.

Christmas Day dining

Christmas Day offers three options. At Endless Summer Beach Club, the Beachside Christmas Day Buffet (990++ baht per person, 6pm to 9.30pm) pairs seasonal favourites and grilled specialities with ocean views and tropical flavours.

Smokestack BBQ & Grill's Christmas Set Dinner (1,650++ baht per set for two, 6pm to 10pm) is a set menu built around premium smoked and grilled meats with seasonal sides and festive desserts.

Meanwhile, A Christmas Day Celebration Buffet at The Phuket Eatery (2,250++ baht per person, 6pm to 10pm) leans into international specialities, fresh seafood and live cooking stations.

Boxing Day by the pool

The celebrations shift to The Pool Deck for Boxing Day on 26 December. The Boxing Day BBQ & Seafood Buffet (1,290++ baht per person, 6pm to 9.30pm) keeps things casual, with grilled seafood, barbecue favourites and fresh salads served poolside, ideal for anyone wanting to keep the festive mood going without another formal sit-down.

New Year's Eve celebrations

New Year's Eve brings four separate events across the resort. Smokestack BBQ & Grill hosts The Countdown Carvery (4,500++ baht per person, 7pm to 11pm), a premium carvery evening with live music building to the countdown.

The Phuket Eatery's Tropical New Year's Feast Buffet (1,500++ baht per person, 6.30pm to 10pm) combines tropical flavours with live music and family-friendly entertainment.

At The Summer Social, The Grand Countdown Gala (6,500++ baht per person, 7pm to 10pm) is the most formal of the four, pairing gourmet dining with live entertainment.

For something louder, Endless Summer Beach Club's Midnight Celebration Feast (1,500 baht net per person, 9pm to 1am) is a beachfront countdown party with live DJs running past midnight.

Options for families, couples, and friends

Families are probably best served by The Phuket Eatery, thanks to its live cooking stations and New Year's Eve entertainment aimed at kids as well as adults. Couples might prefer the more intimate Christmas Set Dinner for two at Smokestack. Groups of friends looking to carry the night on will find Endless Summer Beach Club the natural fit, with DJs playing until 1am.

Prices vary by date and venue. Christmas Eve and Christmas Day offers run from 990++ to 2,650++ baht per person, while New Year's Eve options span 1,500 to 6,500++ baht per person. The Smokestack Christmas Set Dinner is priced per set for two.
