The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) says it seized 10,053 suspected counterfeit Thai-brand fabric bags and glasses from an unmarked warehouse in Bangkok's Bang Khun Thian district.
The operation took place on September 21, 2026, followed an investigation into online sellers offering imitation bags at prices far below those of genuine products.
Police said the investigation linked the trade to a Chinese financier who had profited from the illegal sale of counterfeit Thai-brand bags. Initial questioning at the warehouse indicated that the business owner or manager was a foreign investor.
Warehouse on Rama II Road
The premises were in Soi Bang Kradee, off Rama II Road, in Samae Dam subdistrict. Officers described it as a large, tightly sealed warehouse fitted with CCTV cameras and believed to have been used for storing and distributing the alleged fakes.
The raid was carried out by the CIB's Economic Crime Suppression Division under the direction of Pol. Lt. Gen. Natsak Chaowanasai, CIB commander; Pol. Maj. Gen. Tatsaphum Charupraj, commander of the Economic Crime Suppression Division.Pol. Col. Wiwat Jitsophakul; Pol. Col. Pattarawut Onchong.
The search-and-seizure team was led by Acting Pol. Maj. Noppawat Thareecharunphat, with Pol. Lt. Weerasak Chaiin and Pol. Lt. Natchapat Siripattananuntakoon, alongside representatives of rights advocates.

Complaint from Thai bag maker
Police said they acted after receiving a complaint from a representative of a well-known Thai fabric-bag manufacturer, whose name was withheld. The company reported that copies of its bags were being sold online using inferior, less durable materials that could quickly deteriorate.
Investigators placed orders with the seller and followed information that led them to the Bang Khun Thian warehouse. Officers then obtained a court warrant before entering the property.
The CIB said it would continue investigating to identify accomplices, the source of the goods, suppliers, distributors and others involved. The seized bags and glasses will be used as evidence in proceedings against those responsible.
