Nene Royal performs Seven Nation Army in AGT final

Thai singer Nene Royal, whose real name is Praew Rattikan Amloy, has performed in the final of America's Got Talent Season 21 in the United States.

The 16-year-old rock singer took to the NBC competition stage with her version of The White Stripes' classic Seven Nation Army, having progressed through a field of contestants from around the world.

Nene's appearance has drawn strong support from fans in Thailand, where viewers have been following her progress in the global talent contest.

Her final performance received loud applause from both the audience and the judging panel. She brought her own style to Seven Nation Army, a song associated with perseverance, confronting pressure and criticism, and refusing to be held back by obstacles.

The track, originally recorded by The White Stripes, became the centrepiece of Nene's final-stage performance as she sought to make an impact in the deciding round.

Results due on Thursday morning in Thailand

The America's Got Talent champion is due to be announced from 8am on Thursday, 24 September, Thailand time. The results programme will also feature special performances by guest artists and contestants from earlier seasons.

    What a talent!
    Surely, this has to beat out a magician and a couple of dog trick performers?

    I admit I haven't see the Korean Avantgardey copy but they polled well, too.

    The pro predictors give her a whopping 87% chance of winning, It would be insane if such a masterful performer is beaten by dancing dogs.

    Gutsy of her to choose Seven Nation Army for the finale. I just hope it pays off.

    I admit that when I heard "Seven Nation Army" I was taken aback. But that was an impressive arrangement.
    And dancing dogs isn't really a talent, is it?
    And for Cowell, how is that marketable if they win? Surely, there's only so much they can do before people lose interest in a few months.

    Like them or hate them, members of created bands like One Direction (well, the still-living ones at least) still put out music as solo artists.
    Susan Boyle still chucks a out a song or two.
