School shooting: Deaths & multiple injuries reported

A shooting was reported inside a school in Bang Kruai district, Nonthaburi, on the morning of 7 August 2026, leaving an initial reported multiple people injured.

Local police, rescue workers and emergency medical teams were sent to the school after the incident caused alarm among teachers, pupils and other staff.

Authorities moved to take control of the situation, provide urgent assistance to those inside and evacuate students, teachers and personnel from areas considered at risk.

Police search the school and secure the area

Officials cordoned off the surrounding area for safety while examining the scene and searching for the person responsible, according to the initial report.

Relevant agencies were also called in to support the operation. At the time of reporting, officers were collecting evidence and checking the facts surrounding the shooting.

The cause of the incident and the suspected motive had not been established. No further information on the condition of those injured, the identity of the alleged gunman or whether an arrest had been made has been released yet.

Two teachers were reported killed and between 15 and 20 people injured after a shooting at Debsirin School in Bang Kruai district, Nonthaburi, on the morning of 7 August 2026.

Police, rescue workers and emergency medical teams were sent to the school after gunfire caused panic among students, teachers and other staff. Authorities moved to secure the site and evacuate people from areas considered at risk.

Injuries include three in critical condition

Early reports said the number of injured had risen to between 15 and 20. Three people were said to be in a serious condition after being shot in the chest.

Officials cordoned off the surrounding area while examining the scene and searching for the suspected gunman. Agencies were also brought in to support the emergency operation.

Initial police inquiries indicated that the alleged attacker was a youth, although officers were still checking the information.

The situation was still developing at the time of the report, and authorities had not released further details on the identities of the victims, the suspected attacker or a possible motive.

A student suspected of carrying out the shooting at a Nonthaburi School in Bang Kruai is dead, according to latest reports.

The shooting left two teachers dead and injured at oeast 15 people, some of them seriously. Police, rescue workers and emergency medical teams were sent to the school after panic broke out among pupils, teachers and other staff.

The suspected gunman was described by police as a student and said he was armed with a handgun and died in an exchange of gunfire. In is unclear yet if he was shoot by police or killed himself.

Seven people were reported dead by Khaosod, after a male pupil opened fire at Debsirin Nonthaburi School in Bang Kruai, Nonthaburi, on 7 August 2026.

The latest casualty figures were reported by Nonthaburi's disaster prevention and mitigation office and was reported as three teachers, three pupils and the alleged gunman. Fifteen other people were injured, including one said to be in a critical condition.

Happened to be near the area today. The ambulances just keep coming. It is quite upsetting watching the continual stream. It's also traffic chaos. I'm now hearing of multiple fatalities.

What is the point of this speculation. Nobody knows anything now other than 7 are tragically dead, and many wounded including at least one critically. No reason at all for speculation at a time like this.

Of course there is.

Schools need to understand why it happened to try to prevent it happening again.
