Tomorrowland 2026 Sells Out in Pattaya

Tickets for the inaugural Tomorrowland Thailand music festival have sold out, with all 150,000 tickets purchased shortly after sales opened, Tourism and Sports Minister Surasak Phancharoenworakul announced on Tuesday 7 July 2026, following the weekly Cabinet meeting.

The three-day electronic dance music festival will be held just outside Pattaya, Chon Buri this December. Around 50,000 tickets were sold for each day of the event, reaching the festival’s full capacity of 150,000 tickets. The government expects the event to attract the 50,000 visitors daily and generate around 6 billion baht in economic activity.

Thailand has signed a five-year agreement to host Tomorrowland, with the government projecting the festival will contribute at least 30 billion baht to the economy over the life of the contract. Officials see the event as part of a broader strategy to strengthen Thailand’s position as a major international tourism and entertainment destination.

According to Surasak, around 85% of ticket buyers are international visitors, while 15% are Thai attendees. Overseas visitors include both short-haul and long-haul travellers, with many expected to extend their stay in Thailand beyond the festival dates.

The minister also said premium festival packages priced at 150,000 baht or more have been sold, adding to the projected economic impact. The event is expected to create around 4,000 jobs during both the preparation period and the festival itself.

The government said extensive arrangements are being made to support the large number of visitors. These include dedicated shuttle bus services, improved public transport, increased police deployment and volunteer assistance to help manage the event safely and efficiently.

Organisers will also work closely with government agencies to implement comprehensive security measures for festivalgoers and nearby communities, around the festival site at Wisdom Valley. The minister said these preparations are intended to ensure both safety and convenience throughout the three-day event.

Khaosod reported that the sold-out festival represents a significant milestone ahead of Tomorrowland’s debut in Thailand, with authorities now focusing on delivering the event later this year. Preparations will continue in the coming months before the festival opens in Chon Buri in December.

Sounds like a great event if well organised

Imagine if they could do a South East Asian Glastonbury.

The Police coffers are going to be well fed.

Wonderfruit last year...... They were collecting Bt.20,000 from each person that failed a urine test!

Pay up or get arrested.

I'll bet a lot of it is AI written and produced. So easy to do these days.

Good to hear, they are sold out, so need to expect 50.000 visitors anymore only the revenues, as the tickets are sold out..

and the packages are very expensive. 150.000 THB.. I am wondering who are buying these.. I can't imagine that European tourists do that as in Europe there is similar festival too and probably much cheaper..

No, they are much more expensive in Belgium.

But, not a single band plays at any of these festivals. It's just DJs. To pay thousands of € or Baht for that. Is it drugs that attracts visitors?

Last place I'd want to be.

I reckon all the nutjob foreigners will be there

Much prefer to be in bed with my girlfriend

150000 baht nuthouse foreigners?! Doesn't seem so likely. I can't understand people paying that sort of money without knowing who is performing.

Probably one or more of those ticket reselling/tour companies bought them all so they can mark up the price and sell overpriced tourist packages

I tried to get tickets and even had an early registration - however, within minutes everything was "sold out" already despite me already waiting. I felt like the event was stolen from me in front of my eyes, felt shady in a way. So even despite me living close-by, I won't be able to attend.

What a shame. VERY DISAPPOINTED

Not to mention 120,000 international visitors needing accomodation, will be a boon for Pattaya.

Glad I live only a few KM away... will be interesting with 8 friends that are flying in for it sleeping on my lounge room floor!

I wonder if these people will use the present hotel rates or jack them up to NYE level LOL

Definitely staying away from Ekamai on the 9=13 time period

Also suk will be hell on the 13th with backpackers that are zombies

No. It is a vast genre encompassing trip hop, downtempo, acid jazz, house, techno, etc. Techno is my least favorite form of Electronica, as it is very repetitive. The genre hit its peak from around 1995 to 2004. It has never been the same since. In my opinion of course.

My guess is this festival will not feature the great electrónica acts. Most Thai music festivals just don't attract top talent.

SoutheastAsians & Pacific Islanders

Some of the best bands from the genre are DJ Shadow, Tosca, Faithless, Lamb, Red Snapper, DJ Krush, Coldcut, Zero 7, N.E.R.D., Yogi B and Natchatra, Bush, Gorillaz, Boards of Canada, Kraftwerk, Aphex Twins, New Order, Depeche Mode, the Prodigy, Chemical Brothers, Brian Eno, Tangerine Dream, Africa Bambaataa, the KLF, Portishead, Massive Attack, Paul Oakenfold, and many more. Some of my favorite music of the past 30 years. Admittedly, I have very eclectic tastes for a man my age.

Thanks. I am listening to some of your list. Can't say I'm gonna add it to my playlists any time soon but it is far more varied and interesting than the disco thump thump that plays over and over in the gogo bars. As a musician (not pro and I didn't say a good one) I try to keep an open mind. I guess I am old school and like vocals that aren't overly synthesized and musical instruments that require hands on. But to each their own. I did like the video work of Gorillaz.

Tickets for the inaugural Tomorrowland Thailand music festival have sold out

THIS FESTIVAL HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH MUSIC

It's just mind-numbing beats. People twist and turn their heads for hours and hours to these barbaric sounds. Obviously, to be able to endure it, you need to consume the necessary ingredients. In other words, it's a festival where people get high on every drug imaginable, mainly synthetic drugs and cocaine. I sympathize with the Thai authorities trying to manage this. They're going to attract all the world's outcasts; it'll be something else entirely compared to the news stories from Phuket and Pattaya.

The AI generated "music" at this rave will be nothing like Iron Maiden, It will be exactly the same as the "traditional" musical offerings enjoyed at weddings and funerals throughout Thailand , Its played a special frequency which drives dogs crazy , rattles windows , and renders people incapable of sleep .

This will make the experience possible for those not lucky enough to live in a provincial Thai village. Lets just hope whoever is in charge of the mixing desk is as "skilled" as the son of our Poo Yai Ban

Wow, the most "out of touch old man" comment of all time, and you have a lot of competition on this site. You think the music is AI generated????

Stay home gramps.

Why was he so rude and dismissive about Thailand and the culture?

And come on, that was a ridiculously old man comment that this new fangled music is AI generated. So wrong it is amusing. Always people like that poster feel the need to post on threads just to say how much they hate the thing the thread is talking positively about and insert their negative anti-Thai comments.

It's almost an illness - jut ranting about funerals and weddings and Thai traditions for no logical reason.

the KLF

Them burning the £1,000,000 ensured that future generations could see them live. I've never gone to a festival but my friends who do go partake in all kinds of mind altering chemicals. Hopefully the cops don't turn this into another 'crackdown' to garner headlines.

Bt.150,000.00 was for the top shelp premo packages.

My tickets were Bt.8000.00 for 3 days general admission.

My ex-girlfriend a certified Bangkok freak who somehow held down a respectable day job at 3M was bitching to me that every time she hit one of those backpacker festivals, the foreigners were so doped up they couldn't get it up if their visa depended on it.
