Local Meat Dealer shot dead as he drives to the Market.

A gruesome murder now from the Chaiyaponwiti Road which was dealt with by Police from Banglamung who were called to this remote stretch of road in the early hours of Saturday Morning after reports of a fatal shooting was received.

At the scene, Police inspected the body of Khun Somai aged 49, a local dealer in meat. He had been shot 5 times in his head and was discovered slumped over the driver seat of his Nissan pick-up.

The victim was not alone in the vehicle, his co-worker Khun Suwat aged 19 explained to Police that two men on a motorbike drove past the pick-up which was on its way to Naklua Market to make a delivery of meat.

Two shots were fired into the cab, wounding the victim who pulled over. Khun Suwat managed to escape but looked back to see the two men continuing to shoot the victim who was unable to escape.

Police believe this shooting was not a random event and was most probably related to Khun Somai’s business activities. This murder investigation is continuing and the hunt for the killers is on.

No doubt we'll get to inspect the 5 bullet holes soon on a Pattaya TV....can't wait.

It's scary how often these Thais use their guns. In most countries they are just used as deterents, but here they really like to use them.
