A seventeen year old youth who was shot in the leg this morning said he had earlier fled from police and soldiers who tried to stop him and his friends.

"Pao" was out on Route 36 with friends on motorcycles when they were ordered to stop by officials in a pick-up, he said.

He fled the scene and headed home but before he reached his house he said that two men on a Honda CBR shot him in the leg, he claimed. He asked neighbors for help and later his relatives ferried him to Bang Lamung Hospital where local cops talked to him.

Siamchon News also reported that a 21 year old man called Chailuck Sukjit, 23, who had been in the same group of young men on the roads had been unable to flee the scene.

He had his bike confiscated and was slapped with six charges including having no tax, illegal alterations and not stopping for officials.

Siamchon suggested that an investigation would soon be underway to find out if police - or even soldiers - had been responsible for shooting the boy called Pao.

They said that relatives were gathering CCTV evidence in the case.

How sad.  What a shame.  Never mind.

The police are in the clear - if the shooting was after dark.

Lets wait to find out why he was fleeing. Flee the police would result in being shot anyway in most countries.
