Kamagra Oral Jelly illegal?

Featured Replies

Is it true that Kamagra Oral Jelly is illegal in Thailand, even some Pharmacies still sell it? If it's illegal. I guess it's a bad idea to take 3 or 4 sachets to the airport for depart. Or is it no big deal?

Two issues here:

1 - Kamagra brand of sildenafil is not registered in Thailand. There are several brands of sildenafil that are registered , but not Kamagra. So in that sense, it is illegal. (It is also often counterfeit).  Of the 6 brands of sildenafil registered in Thailand, none of these come in oral jelly, only tablet form.

2 - Sildenafil in whatever brand, is a prescription only drug in Thailand. You could technically get into trouble for having it without a prescription. That has happened to people,  usually in "sting" operations carried out in tourist spots (often right around the corner from where it was sold). I have never heard of anyone having an issue about having it in small quantities on their person at the airport. (A whole suitcase full would be another story, and very unwise).

The other issue is the laws of whatever country you would be bringing it into. You don't pass through customs on your way out of Thailand, you will on your way into wherever you are going.
