I've been looking after my two cute french bulldogs for over 2 years now. The female have gone through 3 periods, and still not sucessful in breeding. The male never manages to penetrates fully everytime they mate. If anyone out there is having the same problems, please share them with me.

The white one being the male is Sammy and the other Paula, the female. Paula is 3 months younger than Sammy and wieghs a little over 2 kgs more. Paula is very resistant to Sammy during mating period. They've been together for so long and still not loving enough to get pregnant!

However during this coming season if successful, i'll be back with puppy pictures!

let the male mate an experienced bitch; it may be that he has lost his nerve a bit after being rejected by your bitch...

restrain your bitch and help the male enter (use a small rough hand towel, place it under his penis ( trust me its wierd but i did it with horses, did it with a goat so can do with dog), help him lift and enter if he allows u too...

make sure he's in good physical condition breeding is a lot of work for the dog.

bulldogs are short and squat, maybe someone with more experience with the bullies ahs a better suggestion as to how to help the male (if he mounts, he has short legs, he might not 'reach', or cant mount, thrust and maintain balance, etc)...or gets tired out quickly (short squishy nose cant breathe well)

some bitches just dont like their chosen mate... try someone else.

take the dog a way for a while and re introduce him or reverse it... (it works for goats, why not for dogs, distance makes the heart grow fonder, my vet says...

good luck

They're really gorgeous. Out of curiosity, are French Bulldogs the ones you have to train to stay away from water, because their bodies are too dense to swim & they drown? Sorry, can't help with the breeding - I spend my time trying to stop soi dogs from breeding, so I wouldn't know how to encourage them. Good luck!
