derevyan Posted January 9, 2007 Share Posted January 9, 2007 Dear Members, I have a dillema. Which island to pick? I spend last summer doing coral reef conservation work in Koh Tao and absolutely loved it. This summer I want to come back to thailand and get master and tech diving certificates. I would love to come back to Koh Tao, but there are so many other islands in thailand, i figured i should go somewhere different. So, what do you guys think? Some place thats not as crazy as koh-phangan or samui (but still has some night life) and a good, cheap dive spot would be perfect. I was thinking of Phi-Phi or Krabi or maybe Phuket, but i dont know that much about them... Its not an island but has no cars and is on the mainland, accessable by boat. Very nice spot. Phi Phi is good for diving. I'd forget Samui and KPG as over priced and not the best places in LOS.IMHO.
