90 days visa as a German

Featured Replies

Hey,

my Name is Luca, I'm 18 years old and I want to travel to Thailand for 90 days to learn MuayThai and get to know Buddhism. It will be my frist journey alone and hopefully the journey of my life.

I am from Germany, sorry for my bad english xD

I think the only option I have is the Tourist Visa. But I dont want the Visa with the multiple entries. I dont want to make a border run. I just want to travel and learn MuayThai in Thailand, but for 90 days, not only 60 Days. I read that you could add 30 Days to your 60 Days Visa at the office. Is that true? After Thailand I want to travel to australia. My problem is that if I book the flight to australia now (for 90 days after arrival in Thailand), I am scared that  I'm just allowed to stay in Thailand for 60 Days. I hope you understand my problem. :passifier:

Do I even have to book the flight to australia, before getting the visa?

Maybe here is a German that can help me.

Best wishes and have a nice day,

Luca

Yes you can get a 30 day extension of stay from an immigration office in Thailand. They cost 1,900 baht. There is no reason why they wouldn't give you an extension so don't worry.

You might need a booked onward flight if it's asked for by the Embassy/consulate you apply for the visa at.

 Thanks for your fast answer!

okay, so I could stay in Thailand for a maximum of 90 days. Is there a way to stay longer, just a few days? So i Can stay 90 days in Thailand for sure with my 60 days visa that i'll extend. What happens if I make a border run for exampke at day 80, will I get 30 days more ? My Visa is just for one arrival (it costs 30 euros, I hope you know which one i mean)

You could go back to immigration and apply for another extension, but the extension would be denied,. As long as you pay 1,900 baht they should give you an extra 7 days to leave the country.

Yes. You can do 2 land border runs per year. You'll get 30 days on entry that can also be extended by 30 days at immigration.
