The caretaker secretary-general of the Pheu Thai Party, Phumtham Wechayachai, on Thursday dismissed reports that fugitive former prime minister Yingluck Shinawatra had received political asylum and was attempting to set up a government in exile.

“The reports are groundless and not true,” said Phumtham. “We have not received news from the ex-premier.

“Photos of her circulated on social media are old and doctored. It has caused a misunderstanding,” he said.

He said he believed that Yingluck would eventually speak on her own behalf.

No one can speak on behalf of her, he said.

That´s not the point. The question is what they will do if they recieve some news or a request.

Didn't PTP say, prior to the verdict-date late-August, that the former-PM had relatively-little to do with the running of the  party these days, it was when there was speculation about their next front-man/woman ?

So would they even want to be involved in any supposed government-in-exile, a rumour which may well be untrue anyway, or cooked-up by the media in an attempt to provoke a news-story ?

And if  "No one can speak on behalf of her", why all the recent reports quoting alleged PTP-sources, about where she happens to have landed-up ?

There are sufficient capable and competent Thais in exile to form the government and a full cabinet.

You missed several critical words / pheses:

- ethical, honest, sincere, not corrupt, not unusually rich....

Also, who on your list is not and has never been on the paymasters payroll?

Also, who on your list has never been associated with the UDD or the red army?

Nope, no country will extradite any persecuted politicians convicted by a court deemed influenced by coup government. Anyone you can qoute that the junta has successfully extradited? I don't mean sending death squad like they did in Laos. That's execution not extradition.

Not a chance of a death squad going to the UK, too bloody scared and they know MI5 and MI6 would be waiting for them. Laos yes, London please try and see what happens, then the two P's would get lifted to UK jails for life.

Some others never visit because of past demeanor's
