Man’s body found in Chao Phraya after saying goodbye to friends

By The Nation

AYUTTHAYA: -- A man spent a week visiting school friends in Ayutthaya to say goodbye before his body was found floating under a bridge over the Chao Phraya River in Ayutthaya’s Mueang district on Friday morning.

The body was identified as Pattanaphum Kritpiti, 26. The body was found under a bridge in Moo 3 village in Tambon Ban Roon.

Police said the man has apparently died two days earlier.

His friends told police that Pattanaphum visited several of them last week and spent a night with each of the friends. He said goodbye to a friend at 10pm on Tuesday night and was later spotted jumping from a bridge. Rescuers failed to locate his body in an early search.

His parents, Suraphum and Nammon, said they had no idea what problem the man had to prompt him to commit suicide.

That's very sad.

Some friends he had... Goes around meeting them 'to say goodbye', and none of them got the hunch something might not be right with him, and it could end badly? Who knows, maybe he died because he had no real friends, nobody seems to have cared enough about him anyway... RIP Khun Pattanaphum, whoever you may have been.
