A gravel truck out of control caused severe damage in Saraburi yesterday ramming into dozens of parked cars, pick-ups and motorcycles in one of the worst pile-ups of the year.

But only the driver of the ten wheel truck was injured as the other vehicles were empty of people.

The accident happened outside a large chicken processing plant on the Pra Lan to Ban Khrua road in Phraphuttabaht district of the central Thai province.

Four pick-ups, 8 cars and 26 motorcycles were damaged with some completely destroyed.

In addition the fence of the processing plant and two power poles were

badly damaged.

A video showed the efforts of rescue workers to free driven Wanchai Meejetana, 34, a local to the area. He was later taken to hospital with severe injuries.

I guess you have too drive quite fast to make a mess like this one. How ever, all is easily explained. Brake failure!

Out of control! Yeah, that´s a mild suggestion.

Yes, brake failure, no inspections, bad mechanics, no education, same same..mai pen lai...gin khao yang mai?

In the video still image...I see a "lucky" lottery number....355

A small miracle no one was killed....

Same ol, same ol.......

Nobody inspects these commercial rigs (should be done a couple times a day), and anyone can get behind the wheel.

Actually I don't know what the requirements are here for a commercial license & if there's different classes of them. Other side of the planet it would require a class A for a rig like that. Anyone have knowledge of this?

Miracle no one else was injured!

Insane. Asleep at the wheel mayhaps, along with brake failure?

I think you have to be Thai to get a licence to drive them...

"Carnage of the year" award. Must win !

Once again, very poor use of the English language unless it was for sensationalism. Carnage means the killing of a large number of people.

However it could so easily have been carnage. Just very lucky it wasn't.

Bad brakes + Road incline + over weight?

I still say there is something in Thai DNA where they secretly love this type of carnage.

Thailand. The Bevis and Butthead of SEA.

Not carnage then was it?

Brain failure instead of brake failure.

OK then, let's use the word "carbage"--------------the killing of a large number of cars.:whistling:

On the bright side - he missed the loose chicken !

..at least the driver did not run away from the scene (or was he still sleeping behind the wheel?)

Wonder if he managed to complete his emergency 'photos-of-lunch' Facebook update.

Just so, early 17th century: from French, from Italian carnaggio, from medieval Latin carnaticum, from Latin caro, carn- ‘flesh.’
Seven years of Latin study so I can post in TV.
:shock1:
I wonder if they checked into what his last meal was.

The gravel pit owner must be pleased!

I'd bet on either brain failure, sleeping or drunk.   Has to be one of those but we will never know.

I guess he will not get insurance in the future.

Crank.

Yab bah.

I just Googled "truck wreck" and pressed the "images" button and out of the first 100 images that came up, none of them were from Thailand.  Some of them were pretty spectacular, but none from Thailand.

The several million Baht question is, did he have any insurance at the time of the accident and if so, does it cover 3rd party damage!

Everything was all right and then this ghost appeared.......

How can somebody learn more who "KNOW EVERYTHING ALREADY" ?
Better then YOU ! 555

I begin to wonder what is going to happen if this truck smashed onto the house of the so called “influential figure”? That would be nice to know if the ฿500 fine still stand.

sh1t happens
