Police and murder suspect all safe after flash flood swallows cops' pick-up

 

 

Several policemen who had tracked down a murder suspect were then engulfed in a flash flood at a creek in Sai Yok, Kanchanaburi.

 

But all the cops and their suspect managed to swim to safety as the pick-up was almost submerged in the torrent.

 

The drama began on Monday evening when Sai Yok cops heard that a man had died from gunshot wounds and was in the local hospital.

 

Panya Sermsuk,46, had been shot in the chest with a shotgun.

 

His wife Thian Naranram said that the shooter was Udom Meksamlee, 37, a brother-in-law who had been angered by some teasing. 

 

He dropped by their house in a drunken state and called out the couple before unloading a shotgun into the victim.

 

He then fled into the forest, reported Daily News.

 

Police conducted a search of the Wang Yai - Mae Nam Noi forest area and subsequently managed to locate the suspect who was loaded onto the pick-up truck.

 

But on the way back to Sai Yok police station a flash flood happened at Wa Yor creek causing all the occupants to swim for their lives.

 

The suspect remains in custody.

just read the GOV are banning foreigners from possessing guns need to take a look at their own first, so  a guy gets murdered for a tease, yes loss of face big time, cannot have that can we.brain cells of a 6 year old kid.

Yes, the cop driver was probably thinking the same thing as he drove his pick-up along the dry creek bed just before they released water from the dam..
