Manager announced yesterday that the Pattaya tourist police and local cops were joining forces to conduct a PR exercise to make it clear what expectations they had from tourist operators during the royal cremation period.

Both forces will be out on the streets next week to explain matters.

Tourist police chief Piyapong Ensarn said it was important in a big tourist center like Pattaya to reach out to operators and the public.

Meanwhile Pattaya station chief Apichai Krobpetch took the opportunity to announce that the police had busted a lady boy gang who stole from a South Korean tourist.

Manager said there had been several arrests though they gave no more details.

Would be better if some big commercial interests were to sponser flyers in English, Chinese, Japaneses, German, French, Etc.

to be handed out by hotels and tourist police.

So can we expect any robberies or other criminality to be carried out in a respectful and dignified manner during this period?

So just what are these protocols and where do we find them?
