he was driving a lorry with a trailer <deleted>, why didnt anyone chase him down, ? oh sorry i forgot, * not my business* typical,

Considering the amount of gun totting idiots driving around in Thailand , they probably wisely didn't. It'll be on a cctv somewhere - hopefully !

I am curious, did the truck driver initially stop for the accident then realizing it was serious hit the road? Was he un-licensed and/or directed by his employer to get away? Or did he simply thing the accident was just a bump in the road and keep on his way?

Trucks with and  without trailers are just too dangerous if operated by the typical Thai who always seems to be in a hurry. All trucks and busses need speed limiters. Even better, all cars in Thailand need intelligent speed limiters that reduces speed automatically in cities, narrow roads, before bends and hills. Could be done, would save thousands of lives for comparatively little money.
