The bullet-ridden body of an Indian cloth merchant was found floating in a well in Suphan Buri’s Sam Chuk district on Wednesday morning.

Indian national Pankaj Kumar’s body sustained five gunshot wounds in the torso and one in right arm.

Following an 11am report of a homicide in Don San Chai village in Tambon Wang Leuk, provincial police chief Pol Maj General Kasana Jaemsawang led police team and rescue workers to the scene. They found the victim’s motorbike with clothes and a catalogue on the sidewalk and the victim’s body in the well.

Witnesses told police that they heard the victim have a loud argument in a foreign language before gunshots were heard, and the victim was seen running towards the well. As the victim fell into the well, the shooter fled the scene towards Wat Nang Pim.

Kasana said police inquiries found that the man was conducting his daily routine of selling material and collecting instalments from his customers in the area when another foreign man started an 10-minute argument with him before the shooting occurred.

Police suspect the motive could be a business conflict, a personal grudge or a dispute over a personal relationship, he added.

Where did they say that? It clearly stands:

Police suspect the motive could be a business conflict, a personal grudge or a dispute over a personal relationship, he added.

I guess a business conflict, grudge and even relationship can involve a problem regarding money.

Strange comment! Maybe they have to spell everything out in plain text just for you.

Must have been another foreigner to commit such a despicable crime.  It wouldn't be a competing Thai cloth merchant whose business was failing because he didn't understand basic principles of business.  Great police work as always from the Clouseau BIB.

Did you not get the impression that 'observer90210'  was being slightly sarcastic?

Sounds like customer wanted to pay in sexual favours and the husband found out

Odd. Indian "shylocks" are usually Namdhari Sikhs ( no turban, only head band).Nice guys, stiff interest rates. This one is not Namdhari, wrong name. So, killed for encroaching or non-payment? We wait.

One day on a big market there was an Indian-looking man selling in his shop when another indian-looking came to argue with him.

It ended up in a fistfight where they were damaging all the other stalls around his. The Thai all loved it and were making noises when they punched eachother well. After 5 minutes or so a Thai man pulled them apart and told them to behave. Then i left the scene.

There was a crowd around them like it was a boxingmatch. They all liked it.
