webfact
Troops reinforce flood levees to protect Khon Kaen By The Nation The Supreme Command dispatched troops and heavy machines on Tuesday to lay rows of big sandbags along the banks of the Huay Yai river that runs through the suburbs of Khon Kaen. The troops were dispatched to lay the sandbags in Ban Ladna Piang village, Tambon Samran. The bank is more than 10 kilometres long so the troops placed the sandbags at those places where water had started to get through. So far, the authorities have placed around 600 big sandbags along the banks.
