I'm looking for the rough cost of a very basic budget building I want to put at my acreage. I just want to store a vehicle and materials then pretty it up at a later date. The plan is a 6m x 8m using the cheap Thai blocks with a steel framed sloping roof with corrugated galvanized shingles. It will have a common roll up garage door and  wood door+ windows. Very basic budget Thai style construction no tiles just cement floor for now. Once we build a house in the future I can  upgrade it to match the style of the house.

 

I am thinking about buying materials myself and finding builders paying them for the job. 

 

I would appreciate a rough cost if anyone has built something similar,

Spooky, just finished my 6 x 8m garage today....seriously. To keep the backhoe and rototiller plus worms, hen food and fertigation stuff.

 

Materials (200 block, 6m3 sand and stone, 10 bags of cement, roof steel, roof tiles, 4 x 5m x5" posts, 8 x 3m x 4" posts, roll of steel re-bar): B22,000

 

5m3 concrete (floor 6" thick) B8,750

 

Labour 4 x 5 days B10,000

 

Total B40,750

 

No roll door though, that'll double the above I think.
