Hi,

I have a similar question that has been asked on the forum before, but I couldn't find a reply to this specific matter. I would appreciate if someone had a quick answer to this.

So I came back to BKK on Aug 31 on my new TR visa. My visa was stamped until Oct 29, which is this Sunday. I'm going to the immigration Monday morning October 30. Would there be any problem since Oct 29 falls on a Sunday?

I've never done an extension late yet but this time I just made a mistake with the date. I'm just hoping that it's OK because the actual extension date is Sunday.

No problem as long as you do it on Monday.

Tuesday onwards; They would probably still give you an extension if you applied on any other day of next week, but only if you paid the overstay fine of 500 baht per day.

Ok that's great news! So just to confirm that is the written rule that you are allowed to do the 30 day extension on the fist weekday if your extension date falls on a weekend?

I've never seen it in writing, but that is the standard practice. As long as you apply on the first day immigration is open after the weekend.
