His Royal Highness Prince Dipangkorn Rasmijoti on Sunday afternoon visited the Pat Cafe Boran coffeeshop located on a street corner in front of Bangkok’s Wat Bavoranives Vihara to observe the final procession in the Royal Cremation Ceremony for HM the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej.

Yingluck case ‘technically over’ in absence of appeals

All mourning signs for late King to be removed

 

BANGKOK, 30 October 2017 (NNT) - The Bangkok Governor, Pol. Gen. Assawin Kwanmuang, said he has instructed all district offices to remove all the mourning signs from their premises, following the end of the one-year mourning period since the passing of His Majesty the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej.

NCPO claims flood-management win

Ban Tha Ko School in Bang Rakham is still under one metre of water yesterday as many parts of Phitsanulok’s Phrom Piram, Muang and Bang Rakham districts were flooded.


Rainfall matches 2011 levels with 19 people drowning in past four weeks.

 

DUE TO THREE tropical storms and one tropical depression, cumulative rainfall so far this year this has been 1,798 millimetres – similar to the same period in 2011, when Thailand witnessed its worst flood in 50 years.

Ex-Army captain to face murder charge as body identified

KMUTT invention seeks to safeguard bedridden patients

A new electromechanical system developed by King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) and a German partner is connected to a patient’s bed to detect movements that could lead to a fall.

 

ACCIDENTAL FALLS suffered by bedridden patients at medical facilities or at home could be pre-emptively avoided thanks to a newly developed programme by Bangkok-based King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) and a private sector partner.
