Flood-damaged buildings leave 1,200 students without classrooms

About 1,200 students at Phutthaisong School in Buri Ram’s Phutthaisong district were being forced to attend school in 20 tents after three two-storey school buildings were severely damaged due to prolonged flooding, district chief Nimit Patamacharoen said on Thursday.

SYDNEY (Reuters) - The U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees said Australia must take immediate action to stop an "unfolding humanitarian emergency" that sees 600 asylum seekers barricaded inside an abandoned detention centre in Papua New Guinea without food or running water.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Paul Manafort, former campaign manager for President Donald Trump, had three U.S. passports, millions in assets and ties to Russian oligarchs, according to federal court documents after his indictment on tax fraud and money laundering charges.

SYDNEY (Reuters) - The 600 asylum seekers barricaded inside an abandoned detention centre in Papua New Guinea without food or running water are Australia's "shame", Oscar-winning actor Russell Crowe said on Thursday, offering to house six of the detainees.

‘Inappropriate behaviour’ leads to visitors being barred from entering Royal Crematorium

The Culture Ministry announced on Thursday morning a ban on entering the Royal Crematorium of the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej after reportedly touched exhibits and displayed other inappropriate manners during a trial run on Wednesday spread on social media.
