SYDNEY (Reuters) - Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull announced plans on Monday to force all lawmakers to declare they are not dual nationals as he seeks to defuse a political crisis that saw his deputy ejected from parliament.

Thai Union Group hits record Q3 sales despite tough market conditions

Thai Union Group Plc (Thai Union) reported a 0.4 per cent year-on-year sales increase in the third quarter of 2017, resulting in a record Bt35.18 billion despite significant currency exchange fluctuations and increased raw material costs. Consolidated net profit was Bt1.73 billion, up 8.9 per cent from the same period last year.

Health team sent to help villagers frightened by ‘deadly ghost’

    Southern regions battered by Typhoon Damrey

     

    A severe weather warning was issued for the South Eastern Region on Monday, as the Meteorological Department forecast heavy rain for the entire region, while banana farmers in Songkhla were already suffering gale-force winds caused by Typhoon Damrey.

     

    The South Eastern Meteorological Centre warned of a strong low depression over the Southern Region that had caused heavy rain in the entire Eastern coast of the Southern Region and were likely to continue until at least Tuesday. People in the whole of the South Eastern Region were also warned to prepare for possible flash floods.
