BANGKOK, 6 November 2017 (NNT) - Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha is scheduled to attend the ASEAN Summit from November 13th – 14th in the Philippines.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Prime Minister will attend the summit along with other ASEAN leaders and those from Japan, China, South Korea, India and the United Nations.

Gen Prayut will discuss business related matters during the summit and will also attend the 9th Mekong-Japan Summit Meeting, also in the Philippines.

The summit will be focused on future development of ASEAN in the next 20-30 years with regards to political, economic, social and cultural landscapes.

Other meetings held in conjunction with the summit include the ASEAN Plus Three Meeting which consists of ASEAN nations and Japan, China and South Korea, the East Asia Summit, and the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Summit.

The upcoming ASEAN Summit will also celebrate the 40th anniversary of ASEAN’s relations with the United States, Canada and the European Union.

Looks like Prayut may have an opportunity to meet Trump again.

I look forward to the photo op.

Always good for a laugh
