I admire and respect Sheeran as a musical talent - he is a genius that churns out so many songs he can't even remember which ones he dished out to other artists. He's clearly a really good down to earth guy too. He didn't ask for this, it wasn't his doing. But he's caught up in it. I feel sorry for the position he's found himself in as he is very vanilla, very likable, non political, and is not finding it easy to cope with. I respect Macklemore for using his platform for speaking out. It was not anti Jewish, it was eloquoent and he made it clear that it was his opinion on Israel's actions, and not of the Israeli people. And the Israeli action is genocide, mass murder, and frankly disgusting. Go Macklemore, I like his music, I respect what he did. And sorry Ed, I hope he can come through this unscathed, he doesn't deserve to be hauled over the coals by either side.
