Rock star Artiwara “Toon” Kongmalai appeared tired after the first lap of his charity run on Day 29 in his Betong-Mae Sai charity run on Tuesday in Prachuap Khiri Khan's Kui Buri district.

His staff said the singer was worn down by having to stop frequently to take selfie shots with fans and receive donations from them as the district did not organise pause stops for fans to wait for him.

The staff said the hot weather also caused him to feel tired.

Toon started his first lap in front of the PTT Somboonsup petrol station in Ban Nong Moo village at 4am.

The singer and his group completed the first lap at the Aroon Nam Choke petrol station in Tambon Rai Mai in Prachuap Khiri Khan's Sam Roi Yod district.

As of 8.34am on Tuesday, the KaoKhonLaLao.com website reported that Toon has run for 23 days of the campaign that has continued for 28 days. He has so far run 1,035 kilometres and donations for the charity have reached Bt345.27 million.

Might explain why he's tired.

I would be.

If I could run that much in such a short time, that is.

36 km a day .....every day for 28 days.......?

I can understand, just about, why Thais have an addiction to nicknames. I remember lots of people having nicknames. At school. When they were 9 years old.

But anyone who wants people to call him 'Toon Bodyslam' must have something wrong with his mind. And then to volunteer to run a ridiculous distance so he gets lots of publicity and the warm inner glow of hearing that someone 'important' loves him. And then to try and get more publicity by complaining he's tired...

Who is this guy? Seems like a right royal PIA to me.

I distance done, less nowadays, but even when I was at my best, I could not do that.

Knees, back, feet, joints all start to hurt quite badly after a while.

He's a strong fella...

Toon is the lead singer in Bodyslam.

Bodyslam are Thailand's biggest, best, and most popular rock band.

Check out the music video done in collaboration with Siriporn (Isaan's most famous female country singer). It's an eye opener, and well worth watching. The song aint half bad either...

Toon is the exact polar opposite of everything you have written above - he don't need the publicity and certainly don't need the loves him bit....

Carry on Toon. Respect.

Amazing that his body continues to take the pounding.  Strong man with a big heart.

Nobody important, but not an outrageous self-publicist with limited musical appeal either.

Willie measuring is now over.

Have a nice day.

A beautiful silence was never written...

Toon is his nickname, or pop star name or whatever. Pretty sure if Bono did the same thing they'd use the name he's popularly known by. Bodyslam is the name of his band, already long established as one of the most popular bands in the country. This guy had absolutely nothing to gain from further self publicity.

If he's guilty of anything, it's overestimating what he can put his body through in reaching his goal. Wish him the best, but looks like he's getting towards his limits now - hope he realises that if he was to stop right now, what he's achieved so far would still be monumental by any standards.

+1....He has run like 25 marathons already...I don't think it is humanly possible to do what he is attempting unless he starts taking days off to rest...The body can only take so much even if his will power is iron strong..I wish him the best...Amazing man.

Well, I don't agree but then we're  not the same.

Room for all I guess. Good luck

I think its more like 45 km a day actually ran as he has run for 23 of the 28 days which makes it all the more impressive for me anyway.

Agreed about the strain on his body. But it would also help if people would stop being such selfish pricks by interrupting him every other step he takes. You don't need to be a genius to realise the harm this is causing, and it's not like it hasn't been publicised frequently enough.
