Three injured in oil tanker explosion in Chon Buri

An oil tanker exploded inside a factory at the Amata Nakhon Industrial Estate in Chon Buri on Tuesday afternoon, injuring three workers, police said.


Police said the explosion occurred at 1.30pm after a blaze started during the unloading of oil from a tanker to a storage tank.

 

Chon Buri firefighters went to the scene to prevent the blaze from spreading to other factories.

 

The towering flames from the fire were visible from a distance.

At least three people were injured after an oil truck exploded in flames at a factory inside Amata Nakorn Industrial Estate in Muang district of Chon Buri province on Tuesday (Nov 28).

 

The explosion reportedly occurred at about 1.30pm while fuel oil was being unloaded from the oil truck into a tank. The truck was engulfed in flames after the explosion.

 

Officials from the provincial disaster prevention and mitigation office and other agencies rushed to the scene with a number of fire engines to put out the fire and prevent it from spreading to other factory.
