Lazinonthebeach
A friend left Thailand, leaving her car with me thinking she had done the paperwork necessary for me to register it in my name. To make a long story short, she didn't. She's back in the UK now, not intending to come back in the near future although she still owns a home here. If/when she does come back, can she sell me the car if she comes in on a tourist visa or 30-day entry or will she need a Non-Imm O?
baansgr
She will need either her yellow book if she has one or a letter of residence from immigration which owning a house should be straightforward. Visa is irrelevent. Thats for Pattaya. Edited December 9, 2017 by baansgr
ubonjoe
There is no visa requirements to buy or sell a car. Dependent upon the department of land transport office that you go to proof residence will not be needed to sell a car. Normally it is only needed to buy one. Tanoshi
Assuming she is the outright owner and person named in the log book (not a finance company) then only her ID may be required to sell. The buyer must have ID and proof of address
