Gen Prawit delivers policy address to ISOC

 

 

BANGKOK, 14 December 2017 (NNT) - Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Gen Prawit Wongsuwan has delivered a policy address following the extension of the government's security mandate in five southern districts. 

Gen Prawit chaired a meeting of the Internal Security Operations Command (ISOC), which was also attended by Interior Minister Gen Anupong Paochinda, Chief of Staff Gen Nattapol Nakvanich and Deputy Commander of the Royal Thai Navy Adm Luechai Ruddit, along with the director-generals of the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation and the Department of Special Investigation. 

The deputy premier delivered a policy address on resolving security issues within the country, after the government chose to extend the Internal Security Act in the districts of Chana, Na Thawi, Thepha and Saba Yoi in Songkhla province and Mae Lan District in Pattani province.

Well at least he has no excuse for being late.

What policy was delivered?

Will it be martial law wherever (in villages, subdistricts) political or social conflict is perceived, ie., during the next election?
