A Thai woman who reversed into another car while parking said "No I didn't....you went into me!"

Or that is what she told the insurance people and the police.

However, the victim in the affair had a dash cam that indicates otherwise.

It showed the other car first undecided about parking then stopping again before reversing into the front left front side of the man's car. He sounds his horn but is not in time to stop the collision.

Frustrated that the woman would not own up to what she did Mawin Saowapaporn posted the footage on Facebook, reported Sanook.

Now he has 2.1 million witnesses - the number of viewers of the clip - to help back up his claim of innocence!

A fascinating video.

SPOILER ALERT

A car backs into another car.  sorry to ruin it for you

As if a Thai driver is going to claim responsibility for anything.

At least the guy didn't come out screaming with a  machete  in his hand.

thai refuses to accept responsibility for their actions. (even though it's patently obvious to everyone who is to blame.)

You don't understand, this is a blameless society, no one is ever wrong.

it's the way she hit him and then tried to reverse again 555 thick as shit . . .

Some girl hit my missus' car in heavy traffic. There was nowhere for the other car to go so they got out and discussed. Other driver said they would simply pay for any damages. Missus said she didn't know how much until insurance guy came. Insurance guy came and quoted about 20k damage. Other driver nearly burst into tears saying she didn't have insurance nor the money to pay.

It's amazing how ignorant, dumb, narcissistic and deluded some people can really be. So many people live in their own little worlds where they feel they can do whatever they like and should never have to take responsibility for their actions.

& that's the problem ' They will all deny & one knows that in this case she was completely denying as (i might be wrong ) they have the compulsery Gov Ins

So who cares that she is not Insured , they have to learn to put their hand in their pocket or on the other hand she should of been charged (ticket ) that would then be seen as fault & if your wife had to claim her insurance company should be going after the woman at fault instead of making the wife look bad & upping her premium

But it's just to hard here

Mai Pen Rai " Have Ins "

When the phrases 'Bold face lies and Lying through their teeth'

invented, the authors has these kind of people in minds...

Reminds me of a situation we had in a car park, my wife observed a vehicle reversing out of space the vehicle in front of us had just gone past.  Wife puts on indicator waits for vehicle to leave and proceeds to turn into parking bay. The vehicle that was originally ahead of us reverses back and hits our rear quarter panel.  The female driver claimed we hit her

lack of responsibility combined with absence of shame combined with saving face...priceless

That's what temples are for...

Buy some offering and incense and wash away those lies.

Well, this comment fits many in my extended family, with several members who cause accidents all the time.

In general when confronted about paying for the damages they have caused their is refusal and at least 2 comments;

- If you (person who has suffered damage) weren't here the accident would not have happened so why should I pay.

- It's not fair.

I have the right to be here, and you don't. What is cause & effect?

Until these become widely available the bare minimum in order to avoid any legal probs/big bills is dashcams front and rear!

A minor road accident = all Thais are bad and liars in TVF land

Fortunately Thai's know the extent to which Thai's will tell bold faced lies.

In an accident a number of years back the other party and I were 'hashing out blame' at the police station.... The other party had been caught out telling so many lies that the Police eventually lost their temper with him... (I had taken loads of photo's which contradicted much of what the other guy said in his attempt to blame me)... the Police were very fair but had no tolerance for the other guy thinking he was the 'smartest guy in the room' and that they'd just believe him because he was Thai and I was a foreigner.

Lighten up just a little.  People are discussing an incident and not throwing all Thais into the basket.  Don't throw TVF land into your anti thai basket.

Anti-Thai basket? That actually makes zero sense

There’s only two answers they only ever give.

It wasn’t me or Mai pen rai!

You didn't ruin anything, in fact you couldn't, unless for some strange reason you think that your posts are read before the OP!

All in order and completely in keeping with standard Thai driving style nothing to see here.

The vast majority on this thread are not discussing the incident, they are "throwing all Thais into one basket", with the exception of PremiumLane.

Yep, about the size of it. So many good examples but the best one was a certain chap who said he had the power to do what he wanted but didn't have to take responsibility, or some such words. Well, I mean....
