UPDATE - new requirements for Multiple Entry Tourist Visa - IN PRACTICE (Sydney)

Some people may have noticed that the Sydney consulate has a new form and that they are now requiring 3 copies of bank statements as well as 3 copies of proof of travel to and from the country.

As usual what they want in practice differs. I applied today and only 1 copy of bank statements was required (as I guessed). I explained to the clerk that I always buy one way tickets and that my first exit is quite often a land crossing. She understood this and said that in that case, the only proof of travel required was of my flight going in.
