Ho Hum .... Remember this ...

PHUKET: Work on installing flood drains on Patong’s Soi Nanai are to be complete in one week following nearly a month of delays, Chief engineer of the project Piya Pikulthong confirmed on Sunday (Dec 3).

So now 17 days later still not complete .... ho hum

A wiser move for contractors in Thailand would be to say "finished" once the work is really over and not to give a deadline that usually is not respected.

Or well ahead of the next rainy season. 555

Actually it's a death trap, curious to see what they consider 'finished'

Hope its built to a better standard than they are currently doing in the centre of Rat u thip road. Take about amateurs and dodgy!

So today about 11.30 I chanced a run along Nanai as the new road was jam packed with traffic.  Still chaos at the Banzai junction. SuperCheap truck on one side backed up to the store. On the other side delivery trucks parked for FamilyMart and 7-11. To cap it all some men were working on an isolated drain cover in the middle of road. Complete grid lock both ways as the drain workers don't have any sort of plan for traffic control.
