Authorities concerned are trying to verify whether a woman who was seen shopping in the United Kingdom which appeared on the Facebook page of New TV was former prime minister Yingluck Shinawatra as claimed or not, NCPO spokesperson Maj-Gen Piyapong Klinpan said on Friday (Dec 29).

New TV said that the picture in question was taken on Dec 26 and the woman who appeared in it was Yingluck.

Yingluck’s lawyer, Mr Pichit Chuenban, said he had not seen the picture yet, but some Pheu Thai core members admitted it was possible that the woman was Yingluck.

She should be arrested for her outfit! Horrible!

Oh, and no bodyguards seen. She always has them overseas.

Yingluck, shopping!

No!

Nay!

Say it not!

It cannot be!

Oh, the horror of it all!

Women dislike shopping: what a crazy headline.

Nah, she was only there for the aircon.

seems she hasn't lost that pastime ....  :coffee1:      and spending the Thai's money ...

If true, she appears to have fallen on hard times, braving the Boxing Day sales to save a few baht. Poor Yingluk.

Or maybe her own. She is quite wealthy in her own right.

She looks nothing like Yingluck.

Did they spot Elvis there too?

so someone saw a woman who they thought was Yingluck and they did not just walk up besides her and take a photo or a really good look from just a few feet away? She was alone? Why is she looking at the person taking the photo? does she know the person taking the photo? At that distance would you notice a cellphone camera? is she with the man who is looking towards her? is that the smoking man from the X-files standing in the sunlight beyond the two kids?

I would have followed her home. :cheesy:

The second photo in the linked-article is much closer, but from behind, the lady concerned appears to be trying-on some sort of fur-coat/jacket ?

Those were seized, now being spent on submarines.

So what are the "authorities concerned" doing about this.

I think we know the answer.

It's not Poundland, that's for sure.

It's the Westfield Centre in Shepherds Bush.

Very convenient for Holland Park.

No, he was last reported to be in the cab of a London bus, on the moon. Stuck behind Shergar, which is apparently being ridden by Lord Lucan...

New Years bonus.

Really?  So what.  What it goes to show is that Thailand's expelled oligarchs are totally accepted and protected within the West. Is this any surprise as Interpol Blue and Red notices are ignored for the 'connected', well unless you're part of the common masses: Justice for plebes; wine for the elite.
For the 'well off' the world is your oyster. Money talks; Buffalo poop walks.

Who cares?

So what? She needs to buy luxury watches to keep up with the rulers of her home country.

Oh, British winter weather can change your appearance for you.........

Looks like some Japanese tourist woman mistaken for Yingluck

Thailand to ask Westfield to cancel her credit cards, where it should hurt her most.
