Myanmar border checkpoint to stay open late for New Year

Closing time at the Mae Sai - Tachileik border checkpoint will be extended from 9.30pm on Sunday to 2am on Monday to allow people from both sides to enjoy New Year’s Eve parties without the need to rush back home.

PHUKET: An 11-year-old girl has died after being struck by a car while crossing the road in Pa Khlok, becoming the island’s second death during the Seven Days of Danger New Year road-safety campaign.

Phuket to Bangkok bus crashes, one monk dead, 20 injured

PRACHUAP KHIRI KHAN: A bus travelling from Phuket to Bangkok crashed in the early hours of this morning (Dec 31), killing one monk and leaving 20 injured.
