January 2, 20188 yr Man surrenders over clip showing celebratory gunfire By The Nation A man accused of shooting celebratory gunshots into the sky in Nakhon Ratchasima’s Pak Chong district on the New Year’s Eve, in an action that resulted in a viral video clip on social media drawing a great deal of online criticism, surrendered to police yesterday morning. Anucha Sukkaew, 24, turned himself in at the Pak Chong Police Station at 9.30am and said he had been drinking with friends at a countdown party at a house located next to Mitraparp Highway in Muang Pak Chong Municipality when he took out his father’s gun and shot it into the sky four times. He said his younger sister had shot the video clip and posted it online. Pol Captain Prayong Wangkulklang said police had initially charged Anucha with possessing a gun and ammunition without permission and firing a gun at home or in public. January 2, 20188 yr Bring back the pillory ! Stick one outside every police station ( in the shade and with a seat ) and make certain crimes punishable by 8 hours locked in one with a suitable placard describing the offence. Plus the usual 500 baht fine of course.

I actually saw a guy locked in one of those once about 20 years ago.
January 3, 20188 yr Let's hope the publicity this idiot received makes some more idiots think twice. Police can't stop this as long as idiots have guns. It was good of this idiot to turn up to police to admit he was an idiot.
January 3, 20188 yr A post using a derogatory slang comment directed at Americans has been removed, it was off topic baiting anyway.
January 3, 20188 yr I seen an article on Thai TV, where there were bullet holes in roofs, car windshields, and other parts of a few venicles. The most guns in Thailand contain real bullets. Blanks are not that easy to buy compared with the real thing. Geezer
