British Airways mid-air EMERGENCY on Bangkok to Heathrow flight

AN EMERGENCY has been declared on board a British Airways flight from Bangkok to London Heathrow.

By JOEY MILLAR

Flight BA10 declared an emergency as it made its final approach to Heathrow this evening.

The Boeing 777-236 had hundreds of people on board during the incident.

It landed safely at around 5.15pm.

Flight monitoring website AirLive said the flight was “declaring an emergency” during its approach to Heathrow and had been “authorised for direct approach”.

Seems to have been an medical emergency...

The good news for the passengers is the plane jumps the queue of landing aircraft.

The bad news is they all have to sit and wait on board until the sick passenger or crew member is stabilised and removed from the aircraft.

Not necessarily.......

Man arrested after shocking fellow travellers on delayed flight to Malaga by opening door and climbing on to wing – taking hand luggage with him

If it was a real emergency with the plane it would have been a "hard" landing ....

Well, that's one way to not have to keep circling, waiting for a landing slot.

They have a vegetarian option on board. Always, always select it. And avoid anything with egg on any airline the way you would avoid eating dog excrement.
