Short Term Stay

Featured Replies

Hello,

I am an expat working in  Thailand nearly a year and now planning on bringing my wife to stay in Thailand. I would really appreciate it if someone could clarify my doubts below:

1. How long she can stay in Thailand with Tourist visa?

2. Is there any limitation on the number of tourist visa can obtain in a year?

3. Can someone explain about process of the non immi O type visa ?

Thanks in advance :)

1. For as long as she can still get single entry tourist visa at nearby locations.

2. No limit

3, If you are working and on an extension of stay issued by immigration your wife can get as single entry non-o visa at an embassy or consulate. After entering the country with it she can apply for an extension as your spouse that will be valid for the remainder of your current extension.

To apply for the non-o visa she would need your marriage certificate, copies of your passport photo page and extension stamp.

Hi Ubonjoe

Thank you so much for your explanation , it was helpful

2. There is no overall published limit, however, note that individual Embassies/Consulates do have their own limits.

If you are working, and have an extension of stay based on your work, it is best for your wife to get a non-immigrant visa, which is the correct visa, and piggy back your permit to stay.
