Hi, flying out to Thailand on the 6th Feb 2018 and stopping for 12 nights but my passport expires on the 11th August 2018 so i will have 6 months and 4 days on my passport when i leave so will i be able to use this passport or do I need to get a renewal. Thanks

You will have no problem entering Thailand.

You passport needs to be valid for the length of your stay.

Sorry I meant to put i will have 6 months and 4 days on my passport when I arrive in Thailand so it will be shy 8 days on the 6 months when I return to UK

Looked on the Gov.com site and it says you have to have a minimum 6 months on arrival..just want to check

Thailand has no six month requirement on your passport. 

Thailand accept pass validity for your original stay, not extended stay.

That is wrong information.

As I said you need to have enough validity for length of stay.

As others have said, you will not have a problem.

 

 

However, why not renew anyway, the HMPO will credit you with up to 9 months unexpired term.
