Once and for all - Is nowcompare.com moody?

Featured Replies

I requested an online quote from these people a little while back.

Their system didn't provide an instant quotation as one would expect in this day and age.

Instead, I received a call from a English woman who asked for my details before eventually sending me a quote via email.

The "insurer" was Regency Assurance Company, based, apparently, in Hong Kong and with offices all over the world but with no mention of any regulatory body in any of the jurisdictions mentioned (including the UK).

They are, however, apparently overseen by regulators on a couple of islands in the West Indies LOL

The brochure's language read like it was written by an imbecile.

Example - "Regency for Expats a fully regulated insurance supplier..........." Note the absence of the word "is". Note the use of the word "supplier" instead of "provider". No comma

On its website, Nowcompare says it's "an Alliance Group company".

There is a thread elsewhere on here suggesting that Alliance Group are as bent as a £6 note with content on their website reading much the same as that on Regency's.

Has anyone actually had a payout from these people?

Does anyone know anyone else who's claimed on a policy underwritten by these people?

Health? Savings? Bonds? Life?

Who are Regency regulated by?

Can anyone shine any light on this lot because they advertise on Thaivisa?
