rooster59 Posted January 6, 2018 Share Posted January 6, 2018 Video: Top Thai rocker's concert descends into chaos as one man stabbed Image: 77Jowo Police in Lampang have defended their operations at a top Thai musician's concert where a man was stabbed in the eye. Footage posted to Facebook showed rivals square up to each other as "Pu" Pongsit Kampee and his band looked on from the stage. The incident happened at the penultimate evening of the "Cool Season Concert - Good Things of Lampang 2018" being held at a downtown sports stadium. Lampang police chief Krissada Phankasem said that he had deployed 40 men on each night of the concert. The man who committed the stabbing had smuggled the knife into the concert in his footwear and so it was not detected. He was in custody and had been charged with assault and concealing a deadly weapon. In total four people were taken to hospital with injuries after the melee blamed on a revenge attack on Thursday night. The chief promised up-scaled policing at the final performances at the event due to be staged last night when another band popular with young people were due to perform. Sometimes on youtube and sometimes it gets taken off. Take a look ..or not . Very catchy song too. Sounds a lot like ' Let old aquaintance be ...........' It made headline news because it was unprecedented because the stabbing were not directly related. Gang stabbings (not guns anymore because of the jail time involved with just carrying a gun) are not uncommon in London unfortunately. Again the acid attacks seem to be pretty much the weapon of choice for the scooter gangs and there have been some by the racists against the Indian community. Ironic that it has been common place in Central Asia for many years. Let's hope the Thais don't take a liking to it. It does happen in Thailand and in Cambodia but mainly in domestic situations.
