Settled with a "wai" and some Chicken Essence - Pattaya drunks apologize to cops

The incident on New Year's day when a Pattaya policeman fired into the air has been settled.

 

Several young men who allegedly threatened constable Weerawat Thamrongthararat as he attempted to break up a fight went to Pattaya police station yesterday.

They were taken by Jittaporn Kunsuwan, 47, the owner of the Happy Net Karaoke lounge where the fight had broken out.

 

They were armed with two baskets of essence and after a whole lot of wais all was forgotten Thai style.

 

Head of investigations Sompan Suksamran explained to the miscreants about minding their behavior especially when drink was involved.

 

They explained that it was a misunderstanding and that they were cross that an innocent friend was nabbed by the cops.

It's about time that Thai police were issued with Tasers. Firing a gun into the air is not wise, but it sounds like he had no other option.

 

Regarding the apology and chicken essence ... that should be in addition to a week or two in prison.

This takes the cake! This idiot wai 'apology' thing is common but if you can threaten a cop and cause him to discharge his firearm and then get away with it like that, then no one is safe.

Why the need tasers? In my ees it work very well with guns. They are not like the wild west sheriffs in the US who first shot before ask something.
