webfact
Monkeys sunbathe to stay warm in cold Amnart Charoen weather By The Nation Hundreds of long-tailed macaques came out of a national park in Amnart Charoen’s Phana district to sunbathe on Friday morning after the temperature in the province dropped sharply to about 10degrees Celsius. Many of the monkeys were seen lined up beside the road and wall alongside Don Poo Chao National Park warming themselves under the morning. Some were hugging one another in groups and mothers were seen hugging their babies. Local residents said the monkeys normally lived in the trees but this morning apparently needed to sunbathe. The residents said the temperature in the district dropped to about 10-12 C late on Thursday night and early on Friday.
